A Benefit for The Children's Hospital in Aurora, CO
The 24 Hours of Hockey is taking a one-year hiatus in 2011. This break is providing the event an opportunity to coordinate with local sponsors and hockey programs to redesign the 24 Hours and make it a bigger and better success in the future. We plan to return to the ice in 2012, and will post details on this page as they become available.
The 2010 24 Hours of Hockey was held in May, 2010 at The Edge Ice Arena in Littleton, Colorado. The event raised nearly $30,000 for the hospital, bringing the four year total for The 24 Hours of Hockey to $145,000!
SPECIAL THANKS TO the Ottawa Senator's starting goaltender, Craig Anderson, who spent time with us at the event in 2009 and 2010. Craig is one of the game's best ambassadors, and we very much appreciate the time and effort he put in to help make our event a huge success. Also, special thanks to Christian Moreno, the hockey-playing star and ambassador from The Children's Hospital who played with us during the 2010 marathon!
We would also like to thank previous participants from the NHL, including Ian Laperriere (seen in the picture to the right), Joel Kwiatkowski, Dan Hinote, Brad Larsen and Tony Granato.
